We have contracts with bus and coach services throughout regional, rural and remote Queensland. These services give Queenslanders living in regional and remote areas easy access to essential medical, education and community services.

• Murrays Coaches Australia provides services from:

  • Toowoomba to St George (via Gore Highway)
  • Toowoomba to St George (via Moonie Highway).
• North Burnett Regional Council provides services from:
  • Eidsvold to Bundaberg (via Mt Perry)
  • Monto to Ceratodus
  • Mundubbera to Bundaberg
  • Mundubbera to Maryborough.
• Trans North Bus & Coach provides services from:
  • Cairns to Cooktown (coastal)
  • Cairns to Cooktown (inland)
  • Cairns to Karumba
  • Charters Towers to Townsville
  • Collinsville to Bowen.

Long distance train services

Queensland Rail's travel network provides long-distance train trips throughout regional Queensland. These services link far north and outback Queensland with the rest of the state. Travelling on these services allows you to relax, see some of Queensland's history and enjoy the scenery.

Rail bus services

We have operators who provide bus connections with Queensland Rail's long-distance train services. The operators liaise directly with Queensland Rail in relation to train arrival and departure times to coordinate the timing and delivery of the bus connection services.
